Job Qualifications JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Establish the Biggs Training Academy and make it a profit center
• Initiate, co-ordinate, execute and follow-up on all training activities within the
organization
• Monitor the on-going training activities and if needed provide training support like co-
facilitating the course with external trainers
• Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, services/features and hours
of operation
• Conduct training and development programs for all team members on a regular basis
• Update training materials to make these more relevant to the needs of the organization
• Develop internal training competencies and establish training structure for on-the- job
training that will support career development and advancement across the organization
• Keep track of the training hour goal of 40 hours/employee/year and include this in the
monthly and annual training report
• Coordinate with Human Resources and/or other departments in relation to
administration of employee performance reviews and identify performance gaps that
can be addressed by training
• Provide and support cross-training and professional development opportunities across
the organization
• Provide support and development of internal trainers on a monthly basis
• Provide and support Quality Section in conducting Basic Food Hygiene and other
hygiene related trainings to all F&B front of house and back of house staff.
• Be involved in the implementation of food safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a monthly training calendar. Ensuring and providing ongoing feedback and
follow-up on employee and management related challenges across the organization
• Assist in the creation, implementation and facilitation of a Restaurant Training Plan and
any other corporate learning initiatives
• Conduct regular audits in different Biggs’s Diner restaurants and maintain audit record

• Create and promote a quality-focused approach to service within the Bigg’s Diner
restaurants
• Continuously identify new ways of improving quality within the department
• Review and analyze guest feedback through monthly comment reports and Logbooks,
and other internal audit records
• Train team members on how to can achieve QSC targets
• Train team members on Departmental Operating Standards (SOP’s)
• Attend meetings to discuss training and quality updates. Ensure the communication
meeting minutes are filed accordingly
• Work closely with the Restaurant Managers and/or section heads to identify and grow
high potential line staff, supervisors and Assistant Managers
• Assist with the development of strategic plans

JOB QUALIFICATION:


Male or Female
Bachelor’s/College Degree in any business related course
Master’s Degree
Doctorate Degree
Naga, Bicol
Excellent leadership and people skills
Excellent communication skills and public speaking
Has industry knowledge; trends, technology and best practices
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-
job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals. Good
computer and database skills
Position Level: Managerial level
Years of Experience: at least 5 years on the same position
Preferred Industry: managerial position in a food & beverage operations

Basic Salary: Negotiable; would depend on the skills and experience
